Entry-Level Librarian


We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Entry-Level Librarian to join our team in Alta, Norway. As an Entry-Level Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting with various library tasks and providing excellent customer service to our patrons.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of library materials, including shelving books, cataloging new items, and processing returns.
- Provide assistance to patrons in finding materials and using library resources.
- Maintain a welcoming and helpful atmosphere for all library users.
- Answer basic reference questions and refer more complex inquiries to senior librarians.
- Conduct basic research using library databases and other resources.
- Assist with planning and implementing library programs and events.
- Help promote the use of the library through outreach initiatives.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of library systems and resources is a plus but not required.

Salary:
This is an entry-level position with a salary of $1500 per month.

Location:
This position is based in Alta, Norway. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Norway.
