Database Administrator


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Os, Norway. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases to ensure optimal performance and security.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related products
- Monitor database system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary
- Ensure data security by implementing access controls, backups, and disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate with developers to optimize database design for application performance
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Database Administrator
- Proven experience with database administration, backup/recovery strategies, performance tuning
- Strong knowledge of SQL language, database management systems (MySQL, Oracle), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Familiarity with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Salary: $1200 per month with benefits including accommodation, free visa sponsorship, and ticket.
