Freelance Translator

We are in need of a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Translator to join our team. As a Freelance Translator, you will be responsible for translating written and spoken content from one language to another. Your main task will be to accurately convey the meaning and tone of the source material, while maintaining cultural sensitivity and linguistic nuances.

Responsibilities:
- Translate written documents, such as articles, reports, and marketing materials, from English to Indian languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, etc.) and vice versa
- Interpret conversations or speeches in real-time during meetings or events
- Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
- Ensure translations adhere to company standards and guidelines
- Collaborate with other translators and editors to improve translation quality
- Conduct research on industry-specific terminology to ensure accuracy of translations
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Requirements:
- Native speaker proficiency in English and at least one Indian language (Hindi preferred)
- Proven experience as a translator or interpreter (at least 2 years)
- Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation in both English and Indian languages
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with translation software/tools is a plus

Salary: $1800/month (based on experience)

Location: Wiltz (remote work possible)
