Pastry Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef with experience in Indian cuisine to join our team in Vilnius. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts and pastries that complement our Indian menu. You will work closely with our head chef to develop new menu items and ensure the highest quality of food is consistently delivered to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of traditional and modern Indian desserts and pastries
- Develop new menu items that showcase your creativity and knowledge of Indian cuisine
- Ensure all desserts and pastries are made to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs to maintain consistency in food preparation
- Monitor inventory levels for pastry ingredients and place orders as needed
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to plan menus that incorporate both savory dishes and desserts
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef with specialization in Indian cuisine
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Indian desserts, pastries, spices, and flavors
- Ability to create visually appealing dishes while maintaining traditional flavors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train junior chefs effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Lithuanian is a plus)
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1800$ per month based on experience.
