Preservation Architect
Our growing architectural firm in Ufa is seeking a talented and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving, restoring, and rehabilitating historic buildings and structures. Your expertise in architectural conservation techniques and knowledge of historical building materials will be crucial in ensuring the preservation of these important landmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on the history and significance of historic buildings and structures
- Inspect and assess the condition of existing structures to determine necessary preservation measures
- Develop preservation plans and strategies based on research findings and structural assessments
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to implement preservation plans effectively
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for restoration projects
- Oversee construction work to ensure compliance with preservation standards and guidelines
- Monitor project progress and budget to ensure timely completion within allocated resources
- Document all work done for historical record purposes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Preservation Architect or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of architectural conservation principles, techniques, and materials
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software for creating detailed drawings
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a team of professionals from different backgrounds
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for preserving historical structures
Preferred:
- Experience working on historic preservation projects in Ufa or other cities in Russia
- Knowledge of Russian architecture styles throughout history
