Data Mining Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Mining Specialist to join our team in Almada. As a Data Mining Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that will inform business decisions. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing data mining techniques and tools to optimize data collection and analysis processes.

Responsibilities:
- Use statistical methods to analyze complex datasets and extract relevant insights
- Identify patterns and trends in data that can inform business decisions
- Develop and implement data mining techniques and tools to optimize data collection and analysis processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and develop appropriate analytical approaches
- Communicate findings to stakeholders through visualizations, reports, and presentations
- Continuously monitor the performance of data mining models and make adjustments as needed
- Stay current with industry trends in data mining techniques, tools, and technologies

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Proven experience in data mining or a similar role
- Proficiency in statistical software such as R or SAS
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills

Salary: $1500/month (with accommodation provided)
Location: Almada, Portugal (own visa required)
