Location: Mombasa, Kenya
Salary: $1400 per month



A reputable foundry in Mombasa is seeking a skilled and experienced Foundryman to join our team. We are looking for a hardworking individual with a passion for metalworking and experience in operating and maintaining foundry equipment. As a Foundryman, you will be responsible for producing high-quality metal castings according to specifications, ensuring the efficiency of the production process, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain foundry equipment such as furnaces, ladles, molds, and core machines
- Prepare molds by applying release agents and setting cores
- Melt metals using appropriate methods such as electric arc furnaces or cupolas
- Pour molten metal into molds according to specifications
- Control the cooling process to ensure proper solidification of castings
- Remove finished castings from molds and inspect for defects
- Repair and maintain equipment as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a foundry environment
- Proficient in operating various foundry equipment and tools
- Knowledge of different melting techniques and metal properties
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit to handle heavy machinery and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
