Back-End Developer - Full-time Position in Washington D.C., USA

We are a Washington D.C. based company seeking a talented Back-End Developer to join our growing team. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of our web applications and servers. You will work closely with our front-end developers and designers to ensure seamless integration of the user interface with back-end functionality.

Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby
- Experience working with databases and SQL
- Familiarity with web development frameworks such as Spring or Django
- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience developing RESTful APIs
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test and maintain server-side code for our web applications
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Improve functionality and performance of existing systems
- Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions
- Write clean, efficient code following coding standards and industry best practices

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in back-end development (experience in full-stack development is a plus)
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles
- Experience using version control systems such as Git or SVN
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
