Collector

As a Collector, you will be responsible for obtaining payments from individuals or businesses who have outstanding debts. You will work closely with a team to research and resolve payment discrepancies, communicate with debtors to negotiate payment plans, and maintain accurate records of all collection activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contact debtors by phone, email, or mail to discuss outstanding debts and arrange payment options
- Research debtor's credit history and financial status to determine their ability to pay
- Negotiate payment plans with debtors and set up automatic payments if necessary
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments are made
- Document all collection activities and update account information in the database
- Collaborate with internal teams such as customer service and sales to resolve any issues that may be hindering payment
- Follow up on delinquent accounts and escalate cases as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
- 1+ years of experience in collections or customer service
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with debtors in a professional manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with debt collection laws and regulations is a plus

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position based in Zagreb. The working hours are Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required. Salary for this position is $1700 per month.
