Database Administrator



As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases in Las Vegas. Your primary role will be to ensure the security, integrity, and performance of our databases. You will also be involved in troubleshooting any issues that may arise and implementing solutions to improve database functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database systems, including backups and disaster recovery plans
- Monitor database performance and provide recommendations for improvements
- Optimize database design for maximum efficiency
- Implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access
- Troubleshoot and resolve any database-related issues
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as data backups, updates, and patches
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of new applications with existing databases
- Train end-users on how to use databases effectively

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Knowledge of database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Familiarity with data backup and recovery procedures
- Understanding of database design principles and query optimization techniques
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL)
- Certification in database administration (Oracle Certified Professional)
- Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Java, or Python

Salary: $1800/month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Las Vegas, USA
