Executive Chef β Fine Dining Restaurant (Funchal, Portugal)
As a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations of our fine dining restaurant located in the beautiful city of Funchal, Portugal. You will lead a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement menus that showcase local ingredients and reflect current food trends
- Maintain high quality standards in food preparation, presentation, and taste
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, menu items, and safety procedures
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and cost control to ensure profitability
- Collaborate with front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest satisfaction
- Monitor and maintain kitchen sanitation and hygiene standards according to local regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel setting
- Excellent knowledge of international cuisines with emphasis on Portuguese cuisine
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proven track record in menu creation, cost control, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Fluent in English (Portuguese proficiency is a plus)
