Part-time Librarian (English Speaking)


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-time Librarian with excellent English language skills to join our team in Jerusalem. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting patrons in finding and accessing information, managing library resources, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons in finding and accessing information, including books, articles, and online resources
- Maintain and organize library collections, including shelving and cataloging materials
- Develop and implement library programs and events to promote literacy and lifelong learning
- Provide reference services to help patrons with research questions
- Create displays and promote library resources to increase usage
- Assist with circulation duties, including checking materials in/out, issuing library cards, and collecting fines/fees
- Train patrons on how to use library technology and online databases
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop collection development plans based on community needs
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in the field of library science

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Fluent English language skills required; knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of people
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with library systems, including cataloging and circulation processes
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evening/weekend shifts as needed
