We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at a new restaurant in Almada, Portugal. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and an innovative approach to creating unique and delicious dishes. Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menu items that reflect our concept and appeal to our target audience
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen including inventory, ordering, and cost control
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to maintain consistency and quality
- Collaborate with management to create seasonal menus and special promotions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Creative flair with the ability to develop innovative dishes while also adhering to budget constraints
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, flavor profiles, and presentation styles
- Ability to manage inventory levels and control costs while maintaining quality standards
- Knowledge of health codes, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field preferred

Benefits:
We are offering a competitive salary of 1000$ per month for this full-time position. Accommodation will be provided for the first three months while you get settled into the area. We also offer assistance with obtaining a work visa if needed.
