Head Pastry Chef
As the Head Pastry Chef in our upscale restaurant in Utena, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the production of all pastry, bread, and dessert items. Your creativity and attention to detail will be key in developing unique and delectable menu items that will delight our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new pastry recipes and seasonal dessert menus
- Oversee the production of all pastry, bread, and dessert items
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to create cohesive menus
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail with a focus on creative presentation
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef
- Experience working in an upscale restaurant preferred
- Prior experience as a Head Pastry Chef is an asset
Salary: 1200$ per month
