Head Baker

We are in need of an experienced and skilled Head Baker to join our team in Funchal. As the Head Baker, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bakery, including managing a team of bakers, creating new recipes, and ensuring high-quality baked goods are produced. You must have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a baker and previous experience in a leadership role. Accommodation will be provided for the right candidate and we are open to sponsoring work visas for international applicants. The salary for this position is $1800 per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the bakery
- Create new recipes and develop innovative baked goods
- Oversee and train a team of bakers
- Ensure that all baked goods meet quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bakery
- Handle customer inquiries and special orders

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a baker
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to create new recipes and modify existing ones as needed
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and customer service abilities
