Tutor for English Language Learners in Svalbard


We are searching for a dedicated and experienced Tutor to join our team in Svalbard. As a Tutor for English Language Learners, you will be responsible for providing personalized language instruction to students of various ages and levels. Your primary goal will be to help students improve their English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop individualized lesson plans based on each student's needs and abilities
- Provide engaging and interactive instruction in the English language
- Assess student progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly
- Utilize various teaching methods and materials to facilitate learning
- Encourage students to actively participate in class activities
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress
- Collaborate with other tutors or teachers to develop effective teaching strategies

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English or related field (TEFL/TESOL certification preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience tutoring or teaching English as a second language
- Fluent in both written and spoken English (native speakers preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, adaptable, and able to work with diverse groups of students
- Must have own visa for working in Svalbard
