Head Chef


We are in search of a skilled Head Chef to join our team at a luxury resort in Malindi. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and managing kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will have experience working in high-end restaurants or hotels, possess strong leadership skills, and have a passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that align with the resort's standards and cuisine style
- Oversee all food preparation and ensure quality and consistency
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and assistants
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Create new dishes and constantly innovate the menu to keep guests engaged

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in high-end restaurants or luxury hotels
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Excellent communication skills in English

Salary:
Starting salary of $1600 per month with potential for growth based on performance.

Malindi is located on the coast of Kenya, known for its beautiful beaches, coral reefs, and diverse marine life. It is also home to many cultural attractions such as the Vasco da Gama Pillar and Gedi Ruins.
