Librarian - Collection Management Specialist (Izhevsk, India)

As a Collection Management Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and developing the library's collection of materials in all formats. This includes acquiring, cataloging, and organizing materials, as well as evaluating and weeding out outdated or irrelevant items. You will also collaborate with other librarians to develop collection policies and ensure that the library's collection meets the needs of its users.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of library classification systems and cataloging standards. You should also have experience in selecting and purchasing materials, as well as managing budgets. A degree in Library Science or a related field is preferred.

As our ideal candidate, you are detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently. You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable working with diverse groups of people. You are passionate about promoting literacy and information access within the community.

This full-time position offers a salary of 900$ per month and requires the candidate to be an Indian national with relevant experience in library collection management. Fluency in English is not required but is considered an asset. The candidate must also have their own valid visa to work in Izhevsk.
