Executive Chef


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our fast-paced and dynamic kitchen team in Sofia, Bulgaria. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and innovative dishes, as well as the ability to lead and motivate a team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and high-quality menus that cater to our diverse clientele
- Manage inventory and ensure proper food ordering and storage procedures are followed
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely preparation of food
- Train new employees on proper cooking techniques, sanitation standards, and safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Monitor food costs and make necessary adjustments to stay within budget
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth running of the restaurant
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into menu development

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel
- Culinary degree or equivalent training from a recognized institution
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and recipes from different cuisines
- Experience in creating menus that cater to dietary restrictions/allergies
- Understanding of food costs and labor costs
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be fluent in English (both written and verbal)
