Sous Chef
The role of a Sous Chef is to assist the head chef in managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. This includes supervising and training kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes. The ideal candidate for this position should have previous experience as a chef, strong leadership skills, and a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing meals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the head chef in planning and executing menus
- Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to high quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation
- Help develop new recipes or improve existing ones
- Assist with budgeting and cost control measures
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a chef or sous chef
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate tasks effectively
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and techniques
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
