Head Chef


We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Washington D.C. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading and managing the kitchen team, creating and executing menus, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience as a chef in fine dining establishments, strong leadership skills, and a passion for creating exceptional dishes.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Create seasonal menus that showcase local and sustainable ingredients
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes or personal judgment while maintaining high quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with management on budgeting and cost control measures

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a chef in fine dining restaurants
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of different cooking techniques and cuisine styles
- Ability to manage a team effectively while working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with both kitchen staff and front-of-house team members
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and problem solve on the spot

Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of $1300 per week based on experience.
