Excavator Operator

We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in Funchal. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to excavate and move earth, rock, and other materials. This is a physically demanding role that requires strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations, and other excavations according to project specifications
- Move and load materials such as dirt, gravel, and rocks using excavators
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Read and interpret construction plans to determine where to dig
- Communicate with ground crew and supervisors to coordinate excavation activities
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy machinery, specifically excavators
- Valid Excavator Operator License or Certification preferred
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

Salary: $1100 per month (negotiable based on experience)
