Instrument Technician - Nairobi, Kenya
We are seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As the Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various instruments used in the production of goods. Your duties will include conducting routine inspections, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary repairs to ensure proper functioning of all instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and possess excellent problem-solving skills. This is a contract position with a salary of $900 USD per month, including accommodation. English fluency is required for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on all instruments
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with instruments
- Perform necessary repairs to ensure proper functioning
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs
- Communicate with team members about any issues or malfunctions
- Stay updated on new technologies and methods for instrument maintenance
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and circuits
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Preferred Requirements:
- Technical diploma or certification in instrumentation or related field
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
