Part-Time Librarian


Our library in Porto is seeking a part-time librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for books and knowledge, and be able to provide exceptional customer service to library patrons.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily library operations, including checking out and returning books, organizing shelves, and answering questions from patrons
- Provide recommendations for books and resources based on patron requests
- Conduct research and assist with reference inquiries
- Plan and host events such as book clubs and author visits
- Assist with collection development by identifying new materials to add to the library's collection
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop engaging programs for all ages

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field (or currently enrolled in a program)
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Knowledge of library systems and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Portuguese (both written and spoken) is preferred but not required
