Mason - Construction Worker

We are hiring a skilled Mason to join our construction team in Utena, Lithuania. As a Mason, you will be responsible for building and repairing structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and natural or man-made stones. Your main duties will include mixing and applying mortar, cutting and shaping materials, and laying out patterns for walls, floors, and other structures.

To be successful in this role, you should have a good eye for detail and excellent manual dexterity. Previous experience as a Mason is preferred but not required. We welcome applicants of all nationalities who are willing to learn on the job.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and setting up scaffolding
- Read blueprints or drawings to determine the layout of structures
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials
- Mix mortar or grout for laying materials
- Lay bricks, concrete blocks or stones according to set patterns
- Cut or trim bricks, stones or blocks to fit around windows, doors or other openings
- Use trowels to spread mortar over work surface
- Finish mortar joints with pointing tools
- Clean excess mortar from brickwork or joints using wire brushes or special chemicals
- Repair or replace damaged bricks, stones or other materials as needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason in construction projects (preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material needs
- Good physical stamina for working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with safety procedures on construction sites
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (after training)
- Willingness to learn new techniques and methods on the job
