Typesetter

We are seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team in Faro. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images for print and digital publications. Your attention to detail and strong design skills will ensure that our publications are visually appealing and error-free.

Responsibilities:
- Format text and images according to the specific style guide for each publication
- Ensure consistency in font, spacing, and layout throughout the publication
- Check for spelling, grammar, and formatting errors
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to meet publication deadlines
- Make necessary adjustments and revisions based on feedback from team members or clients
- Prepare files for printing or digital publishing platforms

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of typography, layout design, and printing processes
- Proficiency in desktop publishing software such as Adobe InDesign
- Familiarity with graphic design principles
- Attention to detail with a keen eye for spotting errors
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
- Experience with book typesetting is an asset

Salary: $900 per month (with accommodation)
Location: Faro, Portugal (visa sponsorship available)
