Experienced Tiler for Contract Work in Akron

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Tiler to join our team for a contract job in Akron, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Tiler looking to showcase their talents and work on various projects in the city. Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark surfaces to be covered and follow blueprints or plans to determine tile layout.
- Cut, shape and lay tiles using hand tools or power tools.
- Prepare surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, and debris.
- Mix and apply adhesives, grout, sealants or other materials for installation.
- Ensure that tiles are leveled and aligned correctly.
- Install tile edging and trim as needed.
- Seal and clean installed tiles to ensure they are waterproof and free of grout haze.
- Work with various types of tiles including ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite and mosaic.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations on tile selection.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Tiler with at least 2 years of hands-on experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately.
- Proficient in using hand tools such as tile cutters, saws, levels etc.
- Familiarity with different types of tiles and their properties.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to create precise measurements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the installation process.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational training or certification in tiling is preferred.
- Must have a valid biometric passport for identification purposes on job sites.
- Strong communication skills in English are required.

Salary:
The salary for this contract position is $1400 per week. Payment will be made weekly, based on hours worked.
