Dietitian

Our fast-paced healthcare facility in Nakuru is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our team. As a Dietitian, you will be responsible for assessing patients' nutritional needs and creating personalized diet plans to help them achieve their health goals. You will also work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and provide nutrition education to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments of patients based on medical history, laboratory data, and dietary habits
- Develop individualized nutrition plans that meet patients' unique needs and align with their health goals
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to diet plans as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care for patients
- Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and disease prevention strategies
- Keep accurate records of patient consultations, assessments, and progress notes
- Stay up-to-date with current research and trends in nutrition and incorporate them into practice

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field from an accredited institution
- Proven experience working as a Dietitian in a clinical setting (preferably 2+ years)
- Current license or certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Certified Nutritionist (CN)
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in an easy-to-understand manner
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

This is a contract position with a competitive salary of $1400 per month. We welcome applications from both local candidates as well as foreigners who are fluent in English.
