Senior Accountant


We are in search of a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Eldoret. This position is ideal for an Indian professional who is fluent in English and has experience working as an accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial records, analyzing financial data, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role also involves mentoring and supervising junior accounting staff. The ideal candidate must possess a biometric passport and be open to working with a diverse team. Accommodation will be provided as part of the package.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and relevant laws and regulations
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes
- Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies or errors
- Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff
- Provide support during external audits
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data is captured
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices
- Prepare tax returns and ensure timely payment of taxes

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as an accountant or in a similar role
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Proficient in using accounting software (Quickbooks, SAP, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Knowledge of Indian accounting standards is an added advantage

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month.
