Mason - Construction and Repair Specialist



As a Mason at our construction company in Shan, India, you will be responsible for working on various construction and repair projects. We are seeking a skilled professional with experience in masonry work, preferably with knowledge of traditional Indian architectural techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build and repair walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and natural stones
- Lay out and set up foundations for buildings using tools such as levels and plumb bobs
- Cut or break bricks and stones to required sizes using hammers or power saws
- Mix mortar or grout according to specified proportions for laying bricks or stones
- Apply weatherproofing materials to walls or surfaces to protect against harsh weather conditions
- Ensure that structures are level and plumb using spirit levels or laser technology
- Repair cracks or damages in existing structures by filling them with appropriate materials
- Work closely with other skilled workers such as carpenters and electricians to complete projects on time

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason in the construction industry
- Knowledge of traditional Indian architectural techniques is preferred but not required
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Proficient in using masonry tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels
- Skilled in mixing mortar or grout to specified consistency for different types of projects
- Good understanding of safety procedures related to construction work

Salary: $1100 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week (overtime may be required depending on project deadlines)

Accommodation: Unfortunately, we are not able to provide accommodation for our employees at this time. Therefore, we prefer candidates who already have a place to stay in Shan.

Nationality/Location: We welcome all applicants, however, preference will be given to Indian nationals or those who have experience working in India.
