Data Analytics Assistant



The Data Analytics Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the collection, organization, and analysis of large datasets to support business decisions and strategies. This is a part-time position suitable for students or individuals without prior experience in data analytics. The successful candidate will be based in Faro, Portugal and will receive a salary of 1300$ per month, along with accommodation provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in data collection and entry from various sources
- Support in organizing and managing large datasets
- Conduct basic data analysis using tools such as Excel or Tableau
- Help identify patterns and trends within the data to support decision-making
- Collaborate with team members to develop reports and dashboards
- Perform quality checks on data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Provide support for ad-hoc data requests from different departments

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program or recent graduate in a related field (e.g. Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other analytical tools is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Preferred Qualities:
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and experience with statistical software (e.g. SPSS, R)
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g. SQL)
- Understanding of basic programming concepts (e.g. Python)
- Prior experience working with data in an academic or professional setting would be an asset
