Entry-Level Truck Driver


We are seeking a responsible and reliable individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Truck Driver in Funchal, Portugal. This is a contract position with a salary of 1300$ per month and includes accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a truck to transport goods from one location to another
- Plan routes and follow schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques
- Inspect truck for defects before and after trips, reporting any issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel purchases, etc.
- Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers using two-way radios or cell phones
- Follow company policies and procedures for truck maintenance and upkeep

Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Ability to pass a drug test and physical exam
- Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and repair
- Good communication skills for coordination with dispatchers, customers, etc.
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading of cargo
- Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends if necessary

Preferred Qualifications:
Although no experience is required for this entry-level position, preference will be given to candidates who have completed a professional truck driving program. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems is also desirable.
