Typesetter (Part-Time) - Akron, Ohio, USA



We are seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our team in Akron, Ohio. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images in various documents, such as books, magazines, and advertisements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize typesetting software to format and arrange text according to design specifications.
- Work closely with editors and designers to ensure the layout meets the requirements of the project.
- Proofread documents for errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure consistency in font styles, sizes, and spacing.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in typesetting technology.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role.
- Proficient in typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Knowledge of typography principles and design aesthetics.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.

This is a part-time position that offers flexible working hours. Candidates must have their own biometric passport and must be willing to work without accommodation.
