As a typesetter, you will be responsible for creating and formatting text and images for various printed materials such as books, magazines, and newspapers. You will use specialized software to arrange and design text and images in a visually appealing manner. Your attention to detail and keen eye for design will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of the final product.

Key Responsibilities:

- Typeset text and images according to established style guidelines
- Use software such as Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, or Microsoft Publisher to format content
- Adjust font styles, sizes, and spacing to ensure readability
- Create and format tables, charts, and other graphical elements
- Collaborate with editors, writers, and designers to ensure the overall layout is cohesive
- Proofread final layouts for errors or inconsistencies
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards

Requirements:

- Degree or diploma in graphic design or related field preferred
- Proficiency in typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Strong understanding of typography principles
- Attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members

This is a full-time position located in Oslo. Salary for this entry-level position starts at $1500 per month. We welcome all nationalities but accommodation will not be provided.
