Fitter Assistant

As a Fitter Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a senior fitter to assist with the assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems. This is an entry-level position that provides hands-on training for students interested in pursuing a career as a fitter.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the assembly and installation of mechanical systems according to blueprints and technical drawings
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fit materials
- Clean and maintain work area and tools
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear
- Communicate effectively with senior fitter to understand project requirements and timelines
- Learn new skills and techniques through on-the-job training

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a technical or vocational program related to fitting or mechanics
- Basic understanding of mechanical concepts, tools, and equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good communication skills in English (Norwegian language proficiency is a plus)
- Willingness to learn new skills through hands-on training

Salary: 1100$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

City: Bergen, Norway (this position is open for both local residents and international students)
