We are in need of a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Almada, Portugal. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and dump trucks. You will play a crucial role in the completion of construction projects by ensuring that equipment is operated safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform pre-operation inspections on equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment
- Use hand signals and communicate with other workers to ensure safety on the job site
- Load and unload materials using heavy equipment as needed
- Maintain and clean equipment regularly
- Report any accidents or incidents immediately to superiors
- Adhere to project timelines, completing tasks within designated timeframes
- Troubleshoot any mechanical issues with equipment when necessary

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
- Valid certification or license to operate heavy machinery
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment operation
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

We offer a competitive salary of $1300 per month for this full-time position. Please note that accommodation is not provided for this role.
