Junior Game Developer


We are seeking a passionate and talented Junior Game Developer to join our team in Funchal. As a game developer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing various elements of game design, including gameplay mechanics, user interface, and game logic. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in game development and programming to gain valuable experience in the industry.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and engaging gameplay features
- Write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Implement core game mechanics and systems
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues
- Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Design or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of C++, C#, or Java
- Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Passion for playing and creating video games
- Basic understanding of 2D/3D math concepts
- Excellent problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience developing games, either independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of mobile game development
- Experience with agile development methodologies
