Cashier - Retail Store


A retail store in Os, a bustling city in Norway, is seeking a skilled and reliable Cashier to join their team. As the face of the store, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth and accurate transactions at the cash register. This is a contract position with a salary of 1200$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Scan and process items accurately and efficiently at the cash register
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Keep track of inventory levels and notify management of any shortages
- Promote store loyalty programs and special offers to customers
- Follow all safety and security procedures to protect company assets

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Proven work experience as a Cashier or in a similar role
- Excellent math skills with the ability to handle cash transactions quickly and accurately
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers effectively
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions
- Basic knowledge of computers and electronic equipment used for processing payments

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a retail store or customer service environment
- Knowledge of different payment methods (e.g. gift cards, mobile payments)
- Fluency in Norwegian (or Danish/Swedish)
