Land Surveyor - Nairobi, Kenya
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team in Nairobi. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to determine property boundaries, preparing maps and reports, and providing guidance on land development projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting field surveys to collect data on land features and boundaries
- Using various tools and technology such as GPS, total stations, and aerial photography to gather accurate measurements
- Analyzing survey data and creating maps, charts, or reports to present findings
- Advising on land development projects by providing information on property boundaries, topography, and potential obstacles
- Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to discuss project details and ensure accuracy of survey results
- Managing survey equipment maintenance and ensuring accurate calibration
- Complying with all safety regulations while working in the field
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in land surveying preferred but not required
- Knowledge of survey equipment and software
- Strong mathematical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills
We offer a competitive salary of 1700$ per month along with accommodation. For international applicants without a visa, we are able to provide visa sponsorship. This is a full-time position but we also welcome students who are looking for part-time opportunities.
