Executive Chef at a Luxury Resort in Porto
We are hiring an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at a luxurious resort in Porto. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen operations. You will also be responsible for managing inventory, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and training and supervising kitchen staff.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-end establishment
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage inventory and control costs
- Biometric passport for international travel
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop menus that reflect the resort's luxury standards
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including portion control, plating, and presentation
- Manage inventory levels to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques and safety procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or themed meals
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Travel internationally as needed to source ingredients or participate in culinary events
Salary: $1300/month (negotiable based on experience)
