Software Tester


As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for testing and evaluating software applications to ensure they meet quality standards and requirements. You will work closely with the development team to identify and report any bugs or issues in the software, as well as suggest improvements for a better user experience. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional, regression, and usability testing on software applications
- Create test plans and test cases based on project requirements
- Identify, document, and report software defects and track them until resolution
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and provide feedback for improvement
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality standards are met
- Communicate testing progress and results to project stakeholders

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Software Tester or similar role
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with manual testing techniques as well as automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium)
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Java, C++) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1200 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Porto but remote work may be considered for exceptional candidates.

Contract job:
This is a full-time contract job with the possibility of extension based on performance.

Experience required:
We prefer candidates with at least 2 years of experience in software testing.

Visa sponsorship:
We do not offer visa sponsorship for this position so candidates must have their own valid visa/work permit for Portugal.
