Head Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at a Canadian restaurant located in Ajman. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus to reflect seasonal ingredients and local flavors
- Manage inventory and food costs to ensure profitability
- Train and develop kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Collaborate with management on budgeting and cost control measures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment according to health codes
- Implement new recipes and techniques to keep the menu fresh and exciting
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
- Strong knowledge of Canadian cuisine and ingredients
- Ability to lead, motivate, and train kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Demonstrated creativity in menu planning and recipe development
Salary: $1000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
City: Ajman, United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Nationality Preference: Canadian (not mandatory)
Language Requirement: English fluency (both spoken and written)
