Pastry Chef
We are hiring a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team in Nakuru. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods such as cakes, pastries, and desserts. You will use your knowledge and expertise to create unique and delicious desserts that will delight our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of baked goods such as cakes, pastries, and desserts.
- Develop new recipes and menu items.
- Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
- Decorate and present desserts in an attractive manner.
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Train and supervise other kitchen staff on pastry techniques.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role.
- Knowledge of different baking techniques and methods.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail for presentation and decoration of desserts.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards.
Education:
A degree or certification in Culinary Arts or Baking is preferred.
Salary:
1100$ per month.
Location:
Nakuru, Kenya. This job is open to Indian nationals but English proficiency is not required.
