Preservation Architect
We are seeking a Preservation Architect to join our team in Utena, Canada. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. You must have a strong understanding of architectural history, preservation techniques, and building codes. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the field and be able to work independently with attention to detail. This position requires excellent communication skills as you will be working closely with clients, contractors, and other team members. Accommodation is provided for non-local candidates if needed. This is a part-time position with a salary of $1400 per month.
As a Preservation Architect, you will play a key role in maintaining the cultural and historical significance of buildings in Utena. Your duties will include conducting research on materials and techniques used in original construction, creating preservation plans, overseeing construction projects, and coordinating with government agencies for necessary approvals. You must also stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to preservation efforts.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a degree in architecture or architectural history with experience in preservation work. You must have strong technical skills including proficiency in CAD software and knowledge of building materials and structures. This role requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
