Database Administrator
The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our company's databases. This role is crucial in ensuring that our databases run smoothly and efficiently to support our business operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of database structure and principles, as well as experience with database administration tools and languages. They should also possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This position is suitable for men and does not require English proficiency or accommodation. Salary for this role starts at 1700$ per month.
As a DBA, your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and maintaining databases according to company needs
- Monitoring database performance and optimizing for maximum efficiency
- Troubleshooting database issues and performing necessary maintenance tasks
- Ensuring data security and implementing backup/recovery procedures
- Collaborating with other teams to identify database requirements
- Providing technical support to users when needed
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong understanding of database structure, principles, and best practices
- Experience with popular database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Proficiency in SQL language for writing complex queries
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently or with a team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with others
Preferred qualifications:
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl)
Location: This job is located in Wiltz but can also be done remotely.
