Executive Chef - Lisbon, Portugal
As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations in our restaurant in Lisbon, Portugal. Your main goal will be to ensure that our guests receive high-quality food and exceptional dining experiences. You will also be responsible for managing and training kitchen staff, creating new menu items, and maintaining food inventory and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum high school education
- At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a fine-dining restaurant
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Creativity in menu development and presentation
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Fluent in English (Portuguese proficiency is a plus)
Responsibilities:
- Develop new menu items that align with the restaurant's concept and customer preferences
- Create standard recipes for all dishes and ensure consistency in taste, portion sizes, and presentation.
- Manage food inventory levels to minimize waste while ensuring ingredients are always available.
- Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, sanitation standards, and safety procedures.
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation of all dishes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain kitchen equipment by scheduling maintenance appointments regularly.
