Construction Manager

As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects in the city of Porto, Portugal. Your main duties will include planning and organizing construction activities, coordinating with contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and monitoring project progress and budget.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of construction processes and techniques, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. A degree in civil engineering or a related field is also preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans and schedules
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress and budget
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Address any issues or delays that may arise during construction
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status
- Oversee onsite activities to ensure quality workmanship
- Review contracts and negotiate changes if necessary
- Manage resources and materials efficiently to minimize costs
- Provide guidance and direction to site workers

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and safety regulations
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to read blueprints
- Proficient in project management software
- Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
