Executive Chef - Funchal, Portugal
We are seeking an experienced and talented Executive Chef to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurant, ensuring high-quality dishes and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and innovative dishes, as well as strong leadership skills to manage and mentor the kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that reflect the restaurant's style and appeal to our customers
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on food preparation, safety, and sanitation procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
- Create new recipes and update existing ones based on customer feedback
- Manage food costs by implementing efficient portion control measures
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Creativity and passion for creating new dishes
