Indian Pastry Chef
We are hiring an experienced Indian Pastry Chef to join our team at a upscale restaurant in Clairvaux. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of traditional Indian desserts and baked goods. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and techniques, as well as a creative approach to developing new and unique desserts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute pastry menus with a focus on traditional Indian desserts
- Create new and innovative dessert recipes using authentic Indian ingredients
- Ensure all pastries are prepared to the highest quality standards
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs in the preparation and presentation of desserts
- Manage inventory and orders of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably with a focus on Indian cuisine
- Knowledge of traditional Indian desserts, flavors, and techniques
- Creativity in developing new dessert recipes with an authentic twist
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong leadership skills to train and supervise junior pastry chefs
- Excellent time-management skills to meet deadlines for orders and events
- Food safety knowledge and certification preferred
Salary: $1200/month
Location: Clairvaux, France (open to candidates from any nationality)
