Database Administrator (DBA)


We are currently hiring a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing team in Almada. As a DBA, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our company's databases. Your primary duties will include designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems, as well as troubleshooting any issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing efficient and secure database systems
- Ensuring data integrity and availability
- Monitoring database performance and optimizing queries for improved efficiency
- Troubleshooting database issues and providing timely resolutions
- Developing backup and recovery plans to ensure data protection
- Managing database access levels and permissions for users
- Collaborating with other IT teams to integrate databases with applications
- Performing regular maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL databases
- Experience with database design, performance optimization, backup and recovery strategies
- Familiarity with data security principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Salary: $1300 monthly (negotiable based on experience)
